At present, a domestic factory adopts the process of "top and bottom blowing converter →LF→RH→ medium thin slab continuous casting" to produce IF steel. Lower slag detection technology is used to control the thickness of ladle slag layer between 50 and 80 mm in the process of converter steel production. Regulator lime and fluorite were added to dilute the FeO and MnO unstable oxides in the slag at 1/2 steel discharge. After the completion of steel discharge, metal aluminum-based reducing agent was put into the slag surface and aluminum wire was fed into the steel. LF is used for electrode heating and slag reduction and modification, and RH is added with part of reducing agent after air break to fine-adjust the slag composition.

Aluminum - based reducing agent can reduce the content of unstable oxide in slag. Compared with reductants containing calcium compounds, aluminum-based reductants do not produce carburization or silicatization of molten steel, so they are widely used in the production of high-quality cold-rolled sheets
